  • Total Time: 35
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

A comforting twist on classic poutine with crispy chicken, rich gravy, and melted cheese curds over golden fries.

Ingredients

Scale

1 lb frozen french fries
1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch pieces
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 cup chicken gravy (store-bought or homemade)
1 cup cheese curds
2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Arrange frozen french fries on a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden and crispy, flipping halfway.
Step 2: While fries bake, season chicken pieces with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Step 3: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook for 6-8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden brown and cooked through.
Step 4: Warm chicken gravy in a small saucepan over low heat until hot, about 5 minutes.
Step 5: When fries are done, transfer to a serving dish. Top with cooked chicken, then cheese curds.
Step 6: Pour hot gravy evenly over the top. Garnish with parsley if using. Serve immediately.
