Sweet dates dipped in rich chocolate and sprinkled with sea salt for an easy, elegant dessert.
Ingredients
12 Medjool dates, pitted
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 tablespoon coconut oil
1/2 teaspoon sea salt flakes
Optional: 2 tablespoons chopped nuts (pistachios or almonds)
Instructions
Step 1: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 2: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips and coconut oil. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth.
Step 3: Hold each date by one end and dip into melted chocolate, coating about 3/4 of the date.
Step 4: Place dipped dates on prepared baking sheet. Immediately sprinkle with sea salt and optional nuts before chocolate sets.
Step 5: Refrigerate for 15-20 minutes until chocolate is firm. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
