Ingredients
1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/3 cup honey
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tbsp cornstarch
2 tbsp water
1 tbsp vegetable oil
1 red bell pepper, sliced
1 cup broccoli florets
2 green onions, sliced
1 tsp sesame seeds (optional)
Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
Step 1: In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and minced garlic to make the sauce.
Step 2: In another small bowl, mix cornstarch with water to create a slurry.
Step 3: Season chicken pieces with salt and pepper.
Step 4: Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
Step 5: Add chicken to the skillet and cook for 6-8 minutes until browned and cooked through.
Step 6: Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
Step 7: Add bell pepper and broccoli to the same skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes until crisp-tender.
Step 8: Return chicken to the skillet with vegetables.
Step 9: Pour the honey garlic sauce over the chicken and vegetables, stirring to combine.
Step 10: Bring to a simmer, then stir in the cornstarch slurry.
Step 11: Cook for 2-3 minutes until sauce thickens and coats everything evenly.
Step 12: Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
