Ingredients
4 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon instant yeast
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup warm milk (110°F)
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 large egg
2 tablespoons butter, melted (for brushing)
Instructions
Step 1: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, instant yeast, sugar, and salt.
Step 2: Add warm milk, 1/4 cup melted butter, and egg to the dry ingredients. Mix until a shaggy dough forms.
Step 3: Knead dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Step 4: Place dough in a greased bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
Step 5: Punch down risen dough and divide into 8 equal pieces. Shape each into a smooth ball.
Step 6: Place rolls in a greased 9×13-inch baking pan, spacing evenly. Cover and let rise for 30 minutes.
Step 7: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake rolls for 18-22 minutes until golden brown.
Step 8: Brush hot rolls with remaining 2 tablespoons melted butter. Serve warm.
